About this role
This Vice President role leads information security oversight for the ISG Data Group within Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Securities Group. The position supervises BAU security controls, manages data protection programs, and coordinates response to cybersecurity incidents across key internal partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee BAU information security controls across onshore and offshore teams
- Manage the ISG Data Security Risk Execution Program
- Coordinate cybersecurity incident response and remediation oversight
- Implement and oversee identity, data loss prevention, encryption, and retention controls
- Manage Risk Acceptance process and support third party management
Technical Overview
The technical scope centers on governance and execution of information security controls, including Identity and Access Management, Data Loss Prevention, and data protection mechanisms such as encryption and retention. You will oversee incident response, remediation efforts, risk execution programming, and risk acceptance, in partnership with TOR and the Firmwide Data Office (FDO).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a security and risk professional with 7+ years in financial services information security or risk management, experienced in leading BAU security controls and coordinating cybersecurity incident response. They have strong knowledge of identity and access management, data loss prevention, encryption and retention controls, and can manage risk execution and risk acceptance processes across onshore and offshore teams.
