About this role
This role provides entry-level IT desktop support for a nonprofit organization. You will assist staff with network, hardware, and software issues on desktops and laptops, including wired and wireless connectivity and network printer support, while receiving on-the-job training.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct technical assistance and support for network, hardware, and software on desktops and laptops
- Resolve internet and network access issues (wired and wireless)
- Provide network printer support
- Train staff on software and hardware use
- Determine causes of computer/software/network malfunctions through evaluation and testing
Technical Overview
Day-to-day support focuses on desktop and laptop troubleshooting across Windows environments, including internet and network access problems for wired and wireless connections. You will also support network printers and may help maintain an intranet, while learning data backup and storage practices.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level professional (recent graduate or college student) who can provide IT desktop support and perform hands-on troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and networks. They should be comfortable supporting wired and wireless connectivity, network printers, and training staff on basic hardware and software usage in an onsite, supervised environment.
