About this role
Businessolver is seeking a Data Science Intern to support its Innovation Works and Science team. The intern will assist with data collection, cleaning, exploratory analysis, and development and evaluation of machine learning and LLM models, while translating business questions into analytical outputs like reports and dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support data collection, cleaning, transformation, and exploratory analysis
- Develop, test, and improve machine learning and LLM models
- Evaluate model behavior, output quality, and performance
- Refine prompts, evaluation criteria, and testing workflows
- Build reports, visualizations, and dashboards; document methods and results
Technical Overview
The internship focuses on end-to-end analytics work: data collection, cleaning, transformation, and exploratory analysis, plus model development and evaluation for machine learning and LLM models. The intern will refine prompts and testing workflows, assess model behavior and performance, and communicate results through reports, visualizations, and dashboards using Python/R and SQL.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field. They have strong Python and/or R skills, working knowledge of SQL, and a solid understanding of statistics, data analysis, and machine learning fundamentals, with experience supporting model development and evaluation.
