Inside Sales Rep at United Rentals supporting branch goals by renting and selling equipment, handling customer relations, and driving revenue. Key Responsibilities
- Establish understanding of specialty engineered rental products and services (generators, pumps, chillers, HVAC, dehumidification, load banks, electrical distribution)
- Establish new rental and sales accounts via telemarketing and call-in customers
- Process rental quotations, reservations, contracts, and invoices in compliance with policies
- Coordinate and track daily equipment pickups and returns and maintain accurate inventory records
- Educate customers on proper equipment usage and safety procedures, ensuring contract data accuracy in the branch computer system
Technical Overview
Applies engineering aptitude to properly size and quote specialty engineered rental products and services (e.g., diesel generators, pumps, chillers, dehumidification, load banks, electrical distribution). Performs accurate contract-related data entry in the branch computer system and coordinates equipment logistics (pickups/returns) while running operational reports.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an inside sales professional with strong customer service and sales skills, comfortable driving revenue through equipment rentals and sales. They have proficiency with MS Office (Word and Excel), strong verbal and written communication, and the engineering aptitude to size, quote, and support specialty rental projects. They are detail-oriented with contract and inventory accuracy and can coordinate equipment pickups/returns.
