About this role
This role supports Morgan Stanley institutional clients by providing world-class, bespoke client service across key service execution processes such as onboarding, money movement, asset aggregation/accounting, billing, and reporting. The associate will also coordinate onboarding with outside custodians and manage alternative investment documentation while maintaining accurate client information.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain existing institutional client relationships through processing, escalation, and resolution of requests
- Build expertise in specific outside custodians to support onboarding and client queries
- Onboard new institutional clients including complex entity structures and contract signatures
- Support non-investment services such as expense management, reporting, and referral handling
- Project manage activities with Fund Services partner and drive strategic planning on client matters
Technical Overview
The position is primarily client operations and service execution within wealth management infrastructure, including onboarding workflows, money movement processing, asset aggregation/accounting, and client/IO reporting. It requires working knowledge of firm policies, procedures, and digital capabilities, plus coordination with Fund Services partners and outside custodians.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an institutional client service professional with strong experience supporting onboarding and ongoing maintenance for complex wealth management and alternative investment clients. They have active Series 7 and Series 66 licenses (or Series 63 and 65) and demonstrate world-class, bespoke client service with a strong attention to client documentation and risk awareness.
