About this role
This Interim Maintenance Technician 3 role helps lead a team that keeps Nordstrom store equipment and building systems fully operational and efficient. The position performs advanced troubleshooting, leads preventive maintenance, supports vendor relations and administrative tasks, and mentors Maintenance Technician I & 2.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead team support for HVAC and building systems readiness
- Handle break-fix and advanced troubleshooting plus on-demand work requests
- Lead planned Preventive Maintenance (monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual) with documentation
- Operate building controls and troubleshoot alarms using EMCS command
- Support parts ordering, PO# creation, vendor management, and mentoring Maintenance Technician 1 & 2
Technical Overview
The technician operates and monitors building controls and associated systems, including EMCS command alarm troubleshooting and verification of proper building operation. They maintain safety compliance during facility work and support documentation and coordination for preventive maintenance and building system performance.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Maintenance Technician 3 who can support the Facility Manager (FM) by leading advanced preventive maintenance and handling break-fix issues with strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. They are safety-forward (LOTO, PPE, working at heights) and experienced with building controls and EMCS command alarm troubleshooting across multiple Nordstrom locations.
