Drayage/intermodal sales representative focused on generating new revenue and managing an active book of business in remote work, coordinating with shippers, importers, and freight forwarders.
Key Responsibilities
- Bring and manage an existing book of business in drayage or intermodal freight
- Prospect and close new customers moving containers through ports and rail ramps
- Manage the full sales cycle from outreach to closing and account growth
- Build long-term relationships with shippers, importers, and freight forwarders
- Coordinate with operations to ensure smooth execution of container shipments
Technical Overview
Sales-focused role in logistics with emphasis on intermodal/container operations, pricing, and carrier relationships; familiar with TMS and load boards.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of drayage/intermodal sales with an active book of business, strong carrier relationships, and a proven track record of revenue generation in port/rail logistics. They are self-motivated, data-driven, and capable of negotiating complex pricing and service terms.
