About this role
AECOM is seeking internship candidates via campus outreach at the College of New Jersey ASCE Symposium. Students must be currently enrolled in an engineering science or construction management program (Bachelor's Degree or higher), have completed one year of study, and plan to continue after the internship unless graduating.
Key Responsibilities
- Support engineering discipline work aligned to interest
- Contribute to design/planning/execution activities
- Apply BIM and GIS tools if available
- Assist with project tasks under supervision
- Travel to project site locations as needed
Technical Overview
The internship interest areas span transportation, environmental, buildings and places, project/program management, and water engineering disciplines. Preferred technical exposure includes BIM tools (Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks) and GIS with ESRI ArcGIS Platforms, plus project management tools like Bluebeam & Revu, with possible travel to job sites.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a motivated engineering student currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree or higher engineering science or construction management program, having completed one year of study, and intending to continue after the internship (unless graduating). They have technical interest across disciplines such as transportation, environmental, buildings and places, project/program management, or water engineering. They may also have familiarity with BIM tools (Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks) and GIS (ESRI ArcGIS Platforms) and are willing to travel to project sites.
