About this role
The Investment Banking Analyst II will support the execution of complex financial transactions within Fifth Third Bank's Corporate & Investment Banking group, performing advanced financial modeling, due diligence, and preparing client-facing materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply accounting, corporate finance and capital markets concepts to support transaction analysis and execution
- Develop and refine financial models to assess company performance, trends, and transaction viability
- Conduct initial and ongoing due diligence, including market research and comparable company and transaction analyses
- Prepare client-facing materials including pitch books, market updates, and transaction summaries
- Synthesize large volumes of financial and qualitative data to support strategic recommendations and client solutions
Technical Overview
Role involves advanced financial modeling, analysis of financial statements, market and transaction research, and development of pitch books using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; utilizes Bloomberg and Capital IQ for data.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level investment banking analyst with 1-3 years of relevant experience, licensed (SIE, Series 79, Series 63), and strong financial modeling and client-facing material skills.
