About this role
This role is responsible for the architecture and long-term evolution of the SAMDA platform. The Principal Architect sets standards and governs how data domains, pipelines, and platform services are designed to meet reliability, risk, and regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve enterprise targetstate architecture for the SAMDA platform
- Define architecture principles and nonfunctional standards
- Govern data domains, pipelines, consumption layers, and platform services
- Embed security and data governance requirements with compliance and governance teams
- Define platform stability metrics, SLAs, and availability standards
Technical Overview
You will lead enterprise target-state architecture covering scalability, resiliency, performance, security, and cost efficiency. The role governs CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, observability (monitoring and alerting), and secure data governance including access controls, classification/tagging, and lineage standards.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior-to-executive level data architect who serves as a technical authority for enterprise target-state architecture. They have deep experience designing data domains, pipelines, and platform services with strong emphasis on security, resiliency, compliance, and production reliability, and they can partner effectively with compliance and data governance teams.
