About this role

Mattermost is hiring a hands-on IT Administrator (Contractor) to run day-to-day IT operations for a remote-first, globally distributed team. You will manage identity, SaaS platforms, endpoint management, and help ensure reliability, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Resolve hardware, software, access issues across all time zones
Manage Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Intune, Exchange, SharePoint), and Atlassian Jira/Confluence
Lead identity and access management (onboarding/offboarding, provisioning, SSO, access control)
Design and implement automation workflows using Tines, N8N, Zapier, and/or scripting
Maintain licensing, hardware inventory, vendor coordination, and compliance efforts for SOC 2 and ISO 27001

Technical Overview

Own administration of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Intune, Exchange, SharePoint) and Atlassian Jira/Confluence. Implement identity integrations using SAML/SCIM/OAuth 2.0/SSO, automate workflows with Tines/N8N and scripting, and support secure endpoint management for MacOS and Windows 11 with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT Administrator with strong experience administering Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Intune, Exchange, and SharePoint). They can manage identity and access integrations using SAML, SCIM, OAuth 2.0, and SSO, and they have practical automation experience with Tines, N8N, and/or scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
