About this role
Controls Engineer at Dana Napoleon leads electrical and controls activities at the final assembly plant, including PLC logic review, root-cause investigations, lean manufacturing layout, and development of PFMEAs, operator instructions, and control documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review PLC logic & debug for proper content, error-proofing, and data collection function
- Lead in root cause investigations and eliminate downtime issues
- Review and modify all equipment PMs and critical spares lists
- Review and approve electrical and controls schematics and assembly system BOMs
- Co-develop with QE all inspection criteria, gage requirements, and control documentation
Technical Overview
Technical focus on RSLogix 5000 and RSLinx with integration of PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow Charts. Emphasizes CI, lean manufacturing, and working with equipment vendors on design and installation.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-to-senior controls engineer with 3+ years of manufacturing experience, proficient with RSLogix 5000 and RSLinx, and strong in PFMEA, control documentation, and CI activities at a Dana final assembly plant.
