Key Responsibilities
- Serve as technical lead for enterprise payment platforms
- Provide architectural direction and standards
- Ensure reliability and resiliency of payment environments
- Lead evaluation and implementation of new payment capabilities
- Mentor payments analysts and administrators
Technical Overview
Focus on ACH, wires, RTP/FedNow, ISO 20022, and NACHA/FFIEC compliance; work with vendors and core providers to modernize payment capabilities and ensure governance.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior payments architect with 8-12+ years in payment systems and core banking, strong knowledge of ACH/wires/RTP, ISO 20022, and the ability to lead technology initiatives without direct people management, communicating effectively with executives.
Must-Have Skills
Bachelor’s degree required in Information TechnologyComputer Scienceor a related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.8–12+ years of experience in payment systemscore banking platformsor financial services technology environments.Strong knowledge of ACHwireand real-time payment processing architectures.Ability to design and evaluate complex system integrations and data flows.Leadership of technical initiatives without direct people management responsibility.Excellent communication with business and executive audiences.
Nice-to-Have Skills
AAP (Accredited ACH Professional) and/or NCP (National Check Professional) preferredRelevant technology or security certifications are a plus
