This role provides field-focused IT support for an electrical contracting environment, keeping crews connected and systems running. You will support networking hardware and field devices, integrate software tools and APIs, and apply Claude AI to streamline field workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and maintain IT equipment in jobsite trailers (networking gear, printers, laptops, field tablets)
Troubleshoot connectivity issues for field teams and ensure reliable remote access
Install and configure network hardware (switches, routers, access points, temporary jobsite networks) and maintain labeled documentation
Install, support, and integrate software and APIs used by field teams
Use Claude AI to streamline field workflows (reports, document summarization, task automation) and train staff

Technical Overview

You will set up and troubleshoot jobsite IT, including networking (punchdowns, patch panels, switches, routers, access points, temporary jobsite networks) and device support (laptops, printers, field tablets, mobile devices). You will install/support software and integrate APIs between field applications and internal systems, and use Claude AI for automated report/document workflows while maintaining security, backups, and updates.

The ideal candidate is an IT support specialist who has supported technology in construction or electrical field environments, including troubleshooting connectivity and setting up IT equipment in jobsite trailers.
