About this role
FAU seeks an IT Systems and Support Specialist to administer servers and provide first/second line support for desktop and enterprise systems in a remote-capable, education-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Systems Administration: support servers, VMs, backups, AD/Intune; Help Desk: first/second line support for desktops, devices, and network access; Office 365/SharePoint; IT security/compliance; Documentation and liaison with Central IT and hospitals
Technical Overview
Role covers systems administration, security/compliance, and end-user support across Windows/macOS/iOS/Android, with hands-on work in Active Directory, Entra, Intune, and JAMF; requires familiarity with Office 365 and enterprise backup solutions.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level IT systems and support specialist with 2+ years of experience supporting Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices, plus proficiency with Active Directory, Entra, and Intune. JAMF and scripting are a plus; strong documentation and ITIL-aligned service delivery are expected.
