About this role

Administer and secure NSI's Windows Server and on-premises infrastructure for the Electrical division. Own core Microsoft technologies, lead backup/disaster recovery planning, and serve as the primary IT systems contact for the Odessa manufacturing facility with regular weekly onsite presence.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy)
Manage Hyper-V virtualization platforms including VM lifecycle and performance tuning
Oversee patching, upgrades, monitoring, and infrastructure health
Administer Microsoft 365 including Intune device management and security controls
Lead backup/recovery/disaster recovery planning and ensure RPO/RTO objectives are met

Technical Overview

This role focuses on Windows Server administration (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy) and Hyper-V virtualization, plus Microsoft 365 and Intune management for identity and endpoint security. It also includes reliable patching/monitoring and backup, recovery, and disaster recovery execution to meet defined RPO/RTO targets, with Tier 2 escalation support for infrastructure issues.

The ideal candidate is a senior systems engineer with 5+ years of hands-on Windows Server administration experience, strong Active Directory and DNS expertise, and proven ability to manage virtualization and enterprise reliability. They are security-first, disciplined in change management, and can support both IT and operational technology (OT) environments at a manufacturing facility with weekly onsite presence.
