About this role
Solar Commissioning & Repair Technician-Level 3 is responsible for the commissioning and repair of distributed generation solar facilities across multiple sites, from energization and verification through corrective repairs, coordinating with contractors, engineers, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Commissioning plans execution for new DG solar installations; Troubleshooting & repair; Tracker systems maintenance; Electrical system testing; Documentation and safety/compliance
Technical Overview
Involves inverter startup, tracker systems verification, SCADA/communications validation, and utility interconnection testing; includes troubleshooting PV modules, inverters, trackers, motor control cards, and BOS components; emphasizes safety per OSHA/NFPA 70E.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior solar technician with extensive DG solar commissioning and repair experience, able to manage multiple sites, and comfortable working with inverter startups, tracker systems, and SCADA validation. Strong safety culture and ability to coordinate with contractors and engineers.
