About this role

Senior Manager API Category leads end-to-end procurement strategy for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients. Partners with External Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Legal, and Finance to define sourcing strategies, shape the supply base, and drive supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

['Lead or coordinate large, complex procurement projects aligned with supply chain strategy', 'Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers to drive performance, innovation, and improvement', 'Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts balancing value, risk, and continuity', 'Partner with suppliers to identify cost reductions, quality improvements, and process efficiencies', 'Oversee contract lifecycle activities with Legal, including renewals and amendments']

Technical Overview

Scope includes API procurement, category strategy, supplier qualification, contract lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration to enable product launches and lifecycle management with a focus on cost, quality, and sustainability.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior procurement professional with 7+ years of API category sourcing experience, strong supplier management and negotiation skills, and a track record of delivering cost savings in pharma environments.
