About this role
This Data Engineer I role focuses on building and operationalizing pipelines that make enterprise data easy to access for analytics users. You will design data solutions that support Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and business intelligence/insights, while ensuring data governance, security, and quality.

- Build and operationalize complex data solutions and transformations
- Design data solutions and analyze sources to determine value
- Apply data governance, data security, and data quality competencies
- Collaborate with teams to deliver data products and educate end users
- Test data movement, transformation code, and data components
Technical Overview
You will develop ETL/ELT-style data pipelines using tools such as Talend, Informatica, and/or Ab Initio and implement transformations with Spark and/or PySpark. The role also requires strong SQL skills across multiple platforms and disciplined testing/validation of data movement and transformation code.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level Data Engineer with a STEM bachelor’s degree and 6 years of related experience, including 1+ years with Spark and/or PySpark. They have strong ETL tooling experience (Talend, Informatica, and/or Ab Initio) and are proficient with SQL across platforms such as Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, and/or PostgreSQL, while understanding data governance, security, and quality.
