About this role

IS Technical Specialist leads mainframe development for the Customer Master Data Services (CMDS) team; designs, develops, tests, and supports CIS using COBOL/JCL/CICS with DB2/VSAM, and builds API and CI/CD pipelines with modern DevOps tooling.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as technical lead for CMDS; analyze, design, develop, unit test, implement and support CIS; export code to GIT and deploy via Jenkins; manage code migration with Changeman; design and develop ZoS Connect solutions and manage APIs with Apigee X and API gateway

Technical Overview

Stack includes COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2/VSAM; tooling includes Git, Jenkins, Changeman; API tooling includes Swagger Editor, Apigee X, and API gateway; cloud DevOps via Azure DevOps; data querying with QMF and Data Studio; ZoS Connect for code orchestration; testing with Thunder Client.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced mainframe developer with 7+ years of COBOL/DB2 experience and strong background in API modernization and Azure DevOps pipelines. They should be a technical lead who can design and implement solutions, collaborate with testers, and manage code migrations across environments.
