About this role

On-site operating engineer responsible for operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems; supervise on-site staff and manage preventive maintenance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned maintenance tasks including but not limited to: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry work
  • Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete tenant service requests
  • Troubleshoot building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspection tasks; support on-call or emergencies
  • Lead and organize ongoing safety and operational training programs

Technical Overview

Mechanical/HVAC/electrical/plumbing focus with CMMS and BAS familiarity; union environment; safety-first culture; shift-based schedule.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior operating engineer with 3+ years of repair/maintenance experience across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry, holding a Universal CFC EPA certification and a valid safety mindset, capable of leading maintenance tasks and coordinating with shifting teams.
