Abbott seeks a Senior Principal AI/ML Scientist to lead end-to-end AI initiatives across medical devices, bridging advanced algorithm research with scalable, compliant software products.

Technical Overview

Lead development of AI solutions using medical imaging, sensors, and EHR data; work with GenAI and LLMs, including grounding, RAG, and prompt engineering; ensure HIPAA/GDPR compliance and SaMD guidelines; cloud-based ML development; publications/IP.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an exceptionally experienced AI scientist with expertise in medical imaging, EHR data, and GenAI/LLMs, able to bridge research and production-grade healthcare AI, while meeting regulatory requirements. They demonstrate a strong publication or IP track record and leadership capabilities.
