About this role
Store Manager responsible for leading a Dollar General store in Cascade, VA. The role focuses on staffing, training, inventory management, and customer service, while meeting sales targets and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed
- Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps for counseling or termination
- Open and close the store regularly (open at least twice per week and close at least twice per week)
- Review ordering plan and inventory management; follow up on Basic Stock Replenishment (BSR)/cycle counts
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and cashier accountability; ensure cash control procedures and store security
