About this role
State Regulatory Reporting Analyst responsible for compiling and completing state filings and premium taxes for Berkshire Hathaway companies, using Excel and Access for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and interfacing with regulators.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculates premium taxes, fees and assessments for various states
- Reviews regulatory bulletins for changes
- Allocates costs to National Indemnity and submits payment requests
- Develops Excel/Access summaries for reports
- Communicates with regulators and company personnel
Technical Overview
Proficient in Excel and Access for data manipulation; knowledge of insurance accounting and statutory data requirements; ability to research regulatory changes and translate them into compliant reports.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level financial analyst with 1-2 years of insurance accounting or MIS experience, proficient in Excel/Access, and able to support state regulatory filings with accuracy and timeliness.
