About this role
Experienced Systems Administrator sought to support a primarily on-prem infrastructure with strong Linux/Windows, VMware, AD/Entra ID, and cloud service experience in a remote capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer Linux (RedHat) and Windows Server environments
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware) across ~500 VMs and ~60 servers
- Maintain and support storage technologies and related infrastructure
- Perform system installation, configuration, troubleshooting, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning
- Assist with security responsibilities including SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanning, and compliance tasks
Technical Overview
Responsibilities include administering Linux (Red Hat) and Windows Server, managing VMware ecosystems, AD/Entra ID, M365, and cloud services (Azure/AWS); security, scripting, monitoring, and incident response in a 24/7 environment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a systems administrator with strong Linux (Red Hat) and Windows Server experience, solid VMware skills, and hands-on AD/Entra ID, M365, and cloud service expertise, capable of supporting a primarily on-prem environment with cloud integration.
