Store Manager responsible for leading a Dollar General store in Capitol Heights, MD. The role focuses on staffing, training, inventory management, and customer service, while meeting sales targets and ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed
• Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps for counseling or termination
• Open and close the store regularly (open at least twice per week and close at least twice per week)
• Review ordering plan and inventory management; follow up on Basic Stock Replenishment (BSR)/cycle counts
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and cashier accountability; ensure cash control procedures and store security

No specialized technical stack; uses IBM cash register for reporting, inventory management with Basic Stock Replenishment (BSR) and cycle counts, and standard merchandising practices.

The ideal candidate is a retail store manager with 1+ year of management experience in a retail environment, strong people leadership, and a track record in inventory control and cash handling.
