About this role
Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in the effective implementation of all store processes, including staffing, inventory management, stocking, and receiving; this is a limited-term development role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in recruiting and staffing activities
- Assist with store merchandising and inventory management
- Assist in all aspects of inventory management (including proper execution of damages, markdowns, register scanning, paperwork and facility controls); prepare and conduct inventories
- Review operating statements to identify business trends and opportunities
- Complete all paperwork and documentation according to guidelines and deadlines
Technical Overview
Non-technical role centered on store operations; uses IBM cash register and standard store processes.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a retail management professional with at least 1 year of management experience in a retail store, strong staffing and inventory control skills, and ability to lead cash handling and customer service in a fast-paced environment.
