Regional Environmental Engineer on AWS Environmental Team leads environmental permitting and compliance for AWS datacenters globally, developing risk-based regional strategies and managing complex regulatory interactions.

  • Assess environmental risks and develop mitigations and strategies to support data center siting and development
  • Lead technical aspects of environmental due diligence including Phase I and Phase II ESAs
  • Deliver environmental permits, approvals, and plans to enable on-time and compliant construction
  • Develop site development and permitting strategies that are environmentally responsible
  • Lead regulatory agency interactions and negotiations in support of environmental permit acquisition

Encompasses Phase I/II ESAs, environmental permitting, and compliance planning; experience with major environmental statutes (CWA, NPDES, RCRA, SPCC, SARA Title III) and risk management.

The ideal candidate is a senior environmental engineer with 7+ years delivering multi-media environmental due diligence and permitting; experienced with Phase I/II ESAs, regulatory negotiations, and environmental compliance programs.
