About this role
IT Operations Manager to oversee VMware environments, Microsoft technologies, and on-prem to cloud migrations in a remote, contract role for a financial services organization; provide leadership to a small IT team and ensure continuous operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain VMware environments and custom applications
- Lead day-to-day IT operations, including system administration, network management, and team collaboration
- Coordinate and execute on-premises to cloud migration projects using Azure and Hyper-V technologies
- Provide hands-on leadership to a small IT team
- Ensure 24/7 system availability by participating in an on-call rotation
Technical Overview
VMware and Hyper-V virtualization, Azure cloud services, Intune device management, Active Directory, Azure SQL Database, Oracle-based systems, Windows Server, and on-prem to cloud migration strategies.
