About this role
Director of Transmission & Substation Engineering provides strategic leadership for planning, design, construction, operation, and regulatory compliance of high-voltage transmission and substations, driving grid modernization and capital investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive short and long-term strategic initiatives; manage budget and capital investments; lead and develop management team; ensure regulatory compliance; build senior-level external partnerships
Technical Overview
Oversees engineering design practices, standards, and regulatory compliance; leads technology adoption and coordination with regulators and management peers; ensures safety and reliability.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior-level electric T&D leader with extensive experience in transmission and substations, regulatory affairs, and capital investment strategy. A PE license and graduate-level business or engineering studies are preferred for driving strategic initiatives and external regulatory engagement.
