About this role
Fire Engineer Intern will work under guidance to support ignition, thermal damage, and fire hazard investigations involving electrical equipment, with hands-on lab and field testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply engineering principles and scientific theory to testing, calculations, and analysis under supervision
- Support inspection, failure analysis, and reporting activities related to fire hazards, ignition, and thermal damage
- Assist with laboratory and field testing, including setup and operation of test apparatus and instrumentation
- Operate laboratory equipment such as SEM, light microscopes, and microhardness testers under supervision
- Compile, analyze, and document technical data to support engineering investigations and reports
Technical Overview
Focus on thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics; CFD (ANSYS FLUENT); laboratory and field testing; data analysis and technical reporting.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an engineering student actively pursuing a degree in materials science or mechanical engineering, with coursework in thermodynamics and CFD and hands-on lab exposure, ready to assist rapid failure analysis and flame/fire investigations.
