About this role

Technology Analyst - GIS supports administration, configuration, data administration, and testing of Peoples Gas GIS systems and services, and serves as the lead for the department's Release Management Process. The role requires collaboration with GIS and programming staff to deliver GIS solutions aligned to business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Learn and perform basic GIS configuration and testing
Create reports and data extracts
Assist higher level analysts
Liaison between GIS and other technical groups
Develop relationships with key customers

Technical Overview

Hands-on work with GIS systems, SQL / PostgreSQL queries, Power BI reports, and release management processes. Focus on data integrity, testing, and liaison between GIS and software development teams.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a GIS-focused technology analyst with 2+ years experience administering GIS systems, proficient in SQL and Power BI, and able to work on-site in Tampa.

Must-Have Skills

A high school diploma or equivalent is requiredMinimum of two (2) years of work experience related to GIS dutiesKnowledge of end-user support or process analysis related to GISKnowledge of workflows in applicable systems and ability to document baseline test resultsMinimum of one year experience serving in a Release Management Process
