Specialist, Data Center Operations oversees the operation and maintenance of critical data center infrastructure, including UPS, cooling, BAS/BMS, and fire suppression systems, ensuring uptime and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems
- Manage critical infrastructure (UPS, CRAC/CRAH, PDU, fire suppression)
- Utilize BAS/BMS and DDC/SCADA for monitoring and controls
- Hire/train maintenance staff and manage documentation
- Ensure compliance with data center standards and safety procedures
Technical Overview
Technical scope includes data center electrical and mechanical systems, environment monitoring, load management, and building automation with DDC/SCADA experience; requires BOMA certification and 24/7 on-call availability.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a data center operating engineer with 3-5 years of experience in mission-critical facilities, holding a BOMA certification and strong knowledge of UPS, cooling, BAS/BMS, SCADA, and fire suppression systems, capable of on-call duties.
