DCO Tech at Amazon AWS Haymarket is a data center technician role focused on hardware and network diagnostics, routine repairs, and on-call support to ensure data center service availability.

Key Responsibilities

Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, responding to operational incidents that impact service availability
Serving as a primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors
Performing on-call duties and participating in scheduled maintenance and change management activities
Contributing to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on analysis of operational issues
Helping to interview, train and onboard new team members

Technical Overview

Hands-on hardware troubleshooting, server rack installations, network troubleshooting, Linux OS, cabling, data center operations, on-call rotations; physical labor up to 40 pounds; travel between locations.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an entry-level data center technician with 1+ year networking and Linux experience, capable of performing server hardware repairs, rack installations, and on-site support in a multi-location data center environment.
