About this role
USAA seeks a Senior Graph Data Scientist focused on Identity Analytics, developing quantitative solutions to detect and prevent identity theft, account takeover, and first party/synthetic fraud. The role builds and deploys machine learning models and graph analytics/graph database solutions to protect members and reduce fraud losses.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously update identity theft and authentication models
- Deploy and maintain a Financial Crimes graph database strategy including vendor selection and use cases
- Use graph databases and graph techniques to identify criminal networks for fraud and AML
- Integrate new data sources into models and graphs to improve predictive power
- Drive continuous innovation including graph neural networks and export insights to decision systems

Build and continuously update internal identity theft and authentication models, and deploy graph databases and graph techniques to identify criminal networks involved in fraud and AML. Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior graph data scientist with strong identity analytics experience, capable of building and continuously updating machine learning models to detect identity theft, account takeover, and synthetic fraud. They have hands-on experience deploying graph analytics and graph databases, including designing use cases for financial crimes and integrating new data sources to improve predictive power. They are comfortable driving continuous innovation with advanced techniques such as graph neural networks.
