Dollar General Store Manager Candidate role supports the Store Manager in all store processes including staffing, inventory, stocking, and customer service. This position is designed to develop external candidates for a Store Manager role.

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities
• Merchandising and stocking duties including staging, signage, and pricing
• Inventory management and cycle counts
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets
• Open/close store and ensure cash security and safety

Role focuses on store operations rather than IT; requires hands-on experience with IBM cash register functions, cash handling, inventory management, and reporting related to sales, labor, and inventory levels.

The ideal candidate is a mid-level store manager candidate with retail operations experience, strong in inventory control, cash handling, and staff development. They should be prepared to develop into a Store Manager role at Dollar General and lead customer service in a fast-paced environment.
