About this role

Governance Analyst focused on data governance and management within Ally's Data Solutions Support team; drives adoption of enterprise governance practices, data ownership, lineage, and quality controls across data domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enablement services: manage data governance, data domain, and data product execution
  • Coordinate with data owners, leads, and risk partners
  • Define and maintain data standards, dictionaries, and metadata
  • Implement and maintain end-to-end data lineage to improve transparency
  • Collaborate with Analytics and BI to ensure governed data usage

Technical Overview

Hands-on with governance/catalog tools (Alation, Collibra, Manta); SQL and relational databases; familiarity with Snowflake/Oracle/SQL Server; responsible for data lineage and data quality monitoring.

Ideal Candidate

Ideal candidate has 3+ years of data governance/data management experience with hands-on use of Alation/Collibra/Manta; strong SQL knowledge; comfortable collaborating with business units and risk/compliance teams to enable governed data assets.
