Kairos Technologies is hiring a Jr Ruby on Rails Engineer for contract work, with a Hybrid/Remote setup aligned to Eastern Time Zone. The role focuses on architecture, API development, and full-stack implementation for production platform components.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and develop reusable production code
Build and optimize RESTful APIs with robust contracts
Contribute to full-stack development (front-end, back-end, databases)
Perform code reviews and troubleshoot performance/scalability issues
Collaborate with product and leadership on technical plans

Technical Overview

You will build and maintain Ruby on Rails services, design RESTful APIs and API contracts, and contribute across front-end and back-end when needed. The position also expects familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, with AWS or Azure knowledge as a plus.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an entry-level engineer who is proficient with Ruby on Rails and comfortable building production web applications. They also have practical experience with TypeScript and React, strong knowledge of RESTful API design/integration, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
