About this role
The Junior Help Desk/IT Support Specialist will serve as the first point of contact for end users while assisting with monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT infrastructure in a secure environment. The role includes basic system administration, user support, and adherence to cybersecurity best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with setup, configuration, and maintenance of servers, workstations, and network devices
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
- Apply updates and security configurations
- Maintain user accounts and access rights
- Onboard new employees with equipment setup and account provisioning
Technical Overview
Role involves Windows Server administration, Active Directory management, Group Policy, virtualization (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Proxmox VE), and exposure to Microsoft 365 and Azure with ticketing system usage.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a junior IT professional with 0-2 years of IT support or system administration experience, strong troubleshooting and customer service skills, and a solid foundation in Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization. They should be eager to learn, comfortable with on-site work, and willing to pursue cybersecurity certifications and clearance as needed.
