About this role
MassMutual is hiring a Key Account Manager to grow MassMutual’s life insurance and disability income insurance revenues through its third-party distribution channel (MassMutual Strategic Distributors). The role manages relationships with national/regional banks, wire houses, independent broker-dealers, BGAs, and IMOs while producing pipeline and sales reporting and coordinating product training and launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support relationships with key stakeholders at distribution partner firms
- Serve as liaison for operations, underwriting, service, marketing and relationship management contacts
- Prepare and analyze pipeline, sales and activity reports and create action plans from trends
- Coordinate launch of new distribution opportunities and new products
- Coordinate product and concept training to centers of influence at partner firms
Technical Overview
This is a distribution and relationship management role with analytical responsibilities around pipeline, sales, and activity reporting. It requires working knowledge of partner firms’ product sales, target markets, competitive information, systems, and platforms, plus coordination across internal functions such as operations, underwriting, and marketing.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level relationship-focused Key Account Manager with experience growing life insurance and disability income insurance revenues through national and regional distribution partners. They can manage pipelines, analyze sales/activity trends, and drive product launches while coordinating training for sales desks, insurance specialists, underwriting/case managers, wholesalers, and financial advisors.
