About this role
This role manages land development sites from pre-acquisition through construction. The Land Acquisition Project Manager ensures due diligence is completed on time, oversees budgets and schedules, coordinates with engineers and consultants, and handles entitlements supervision and review of agreements such as impact fee audits and school agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure property documents comply with company standards
- Complete due diligence prior to contingency expiration and Land Acquisition Proforma (LAP) submittal date
- Maintain budgets and development schedule oversight
- Plan, direct, and manage Entitlements and Land staff activities
- Review development agreements and coordinate with municipal stakeholders
Technical Overview
The technical scope is real-estate project execution: due diligence documentation and reporting, contingency and LAP (Land Acquisition Proforma) timing, site inspection-driven risk management, budget and schedule oversight, and coordination of entitlements, zoning, and platting activities with municipal stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level Land Acquisition Project Manager with a Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience managing land development sites from pre-acquisition through home construction. They are detail-oriented with strong communication skills, capable of completing due diligence before contingency deadlines, running budgets and schedules, coordinating engineering and consultants, and supervising entitlements and land staff.
