About this role
The Land Acquisitioner supports D.R. Horton’s Operations Department by acquiring undeveloped land and finished lots for development. The role coordinates land acquisition leads, performs title and municipal research, prepares letters of intent, and negotiates purchase contracts while communicating with sellers and city officials.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, Secure and Organize Land Acquisition Leads
- Perform Title and municipal research and initial “cold call” inquiry
- Prepare letters of intent and provide property details to management
- Underwrite and analyze financial aspects of development opportunities
- Negotiate purchase contracts with sellers and communicate regularly with city officials

This is a land acquisition and development underwriting role using standard office tools (MS Office and email). The core analytical work is underwriting and analyzing financial aspects of development opportunities, paired with property title and municipal research.
