Law Library Manager - Research

Harbor is seeking a Law Library Manager for its Research and Intelligence department to lead client-facing library services in a fully remote role. The role manages library operations, digital resource organization, vendor/IT coordination, budgeting, and research support, including participation in AI-powered legal research tool rollouts.

• Supervise and provide guidance to department staff
• Oversee maintenance and optimization of the integrated library system (ILS) and digital platforms
• Manage acquisition and processing of physical and electronic resources with emphasis on electronic resource management
• Monitor copyright compliance and licensing agreements for digital materials
• Lead research and intelligence activities and client outreach

The role focuses on operational management of an integrated library system (ILS) and other digital platforms, including cataloging, classification, indexing, electronic resource management, and digital collection governance. It also involves evaluating and implementing emerging legal technology solutions, including AI-powered legal research tools, and partnering with IT to resolve technical issues.

The ideal candidate is a mid-level Law Library Manager with hands-on experience leading library services for legal research and information retrieval. They have managed an integrated library system (ILS), overseen electronic resource management, and ensured accurate cataloging, classification, and indexing while staying compliant with copyright and licensing requirements. They can also lead projects such as digitization and system upgrades and participate in AI-powered legal research tool rollouts.
