About this role
Lead AI Engineer responsible for building foundational AI systems and platforms for Capital One's Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team, leveraging a broad stack of AI technologies to deliver scalable, responsible AI products for banking customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI components
- Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies
- Innovate LLM optimization techniques
- Contribute to technical vision and roadmap
Technical Overview
Focus on foundation model training, LLM inference, similarity search, and governance using Open Source and SaaS AI technologies (e.g., PyTorch, HuggingFace, Nemo Guardrails) on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior AI engineer with deep experience in foundation models, LLM optimization, and a strong Python/PyTorch/HuggingFace stack. They should demonstrate leadership in cross-functional teams and a track record of delivering scalable AI infrastructure in fintech environments.
