About this role
The Lead Analyst, BI & Analytics provides business insights to management by analyzing trends in sales, gains, and margins to drive strategic and operational performance improvements. This role supports Vistra's OOS Market growth through deep-dive analytics, dashboards, and financial justifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide deep-dive analytics in pursuit of value accretive opportunities in the OOS territories; deliver key insights by uncovering root causes for trends in sales, gains, and losses
- Provide deep-dive analytical support for various sales channels, including campaign, vendor and broker performance metrics
- Utilize analytics, competitive intelligence, market research and business experience to make recommendations
- Conduct reporting and analytical work in support of those efforts utilizing cutting edge visualization and analytical tools
- Analyze financial impact of trends and opportunities leveraging business metrics of success such as NPV, PV/I to develop financially justifiable recommendations; build relevant business cases; perform sensitivity analyses for key assumptions and market scenarios
Technical Overview
Technical scope includes SAS/SQL/R/Tableau; experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and HANA; proficiency in creating dashboards and conducting financial analyses (NPV, PV/I); cross-functional collaboration.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-to-senior data & analytics professional with 3+ years of experience in SAS/SQL and BI visualization tools, capable of delivering executive-grade insights and financial impact analyses.
