Lead Architect, Claim

Travelers is seeking a Lead Architect for the Claim area to design and guide the technology vision enabling business transformation. The role translates business direction into architecture roadmaps, creates architectural frameworks, and ensures scalable, governable solutions across enterprise domains.

• Responsible for architecture for multiple technology and/or business segments/domains for a single business unit
• Translate technology strategy and business direction into actionable architecture roadmaps aligned to priorities and investment goals
• Identify architectural opportunities and risks and proactively surface clear options and recommendations
• Provide architectural direction on technical patterns and conduct hands-on prototyping and proof of concepts
• Design and document application-level architectures including service decomposition, API design, data flow, and integration patterns

Own architecture for multiple segments/domains within a single business unit, focusing on cloud-native technologies, APIs, and AI/ML. Produce application-level architecture designs covering service decomposition, API design, data flow, and integration patterns, and lead hands-on prototyping and proof of concepts.

The ideal candidate is a lead architect focused on enterprise technology solutions for the Claim business area. They have strong experience translating business strategy into actionable architecture roadmaps, designing application-level architectures with service decomposition, API design, and integration patterns, and conducting hands-on prototyping and proof of concepts using cloud-native technologies and AI/ML.
