The ideal candidate is a senior transactional lawyer with 7+ years in tech/fintech, strong track record drafting and negotiating high-value B2B SaaS contracts, and experience licensing into regulated environments. They excel at cross-functional negotiation with sales and risk teams.
Must-Have Skills
J.D. degree with a state bar membership (NY or CA preferred)7+ years of experience at a law firm in a transactional practice area (ideally technology transactionscapital marketsor similar) or some combination of in-house/law firm experience with a focus on transactional/commercial mattersDemonstrated ability to act as legal point during intense/complex negotiations and to work effectively with sales leadership to manage expectations and goalsExperience reviewingdrafting and negotiating complex B2B SaaS agreementspreferably in a regulated environment or while licensing into a regulated environmentNot just an issue-spotter but an issue-solverwith a 'can-do' mindseta habit of moving quicklyand ownership to drive matters from start to finish
