About this role
Lead daily maintenance work for a team of technicians by maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy equipment, including diesel engines and pumping/oil field related machinery. Create work orders in the garage management system, lead safety tailgate meetings, and ensure all work is performed safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, diagnose and repair diesel engines, heavy trucks, and pumping/oil field equipment
- Create work orders and enter data into garage management system
- Lead safety procedures including tailgate meeting and required safety meetings
- Train and mentor new employees and direct daily work of technicians
- Ensure safe, efficient, and effective maintenance performance
Technical Overview
Hands-on maintenance and repair role covering diesel engines, transmissions, drive train components, high pressure/centrifugal pumps, air compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, cranes, generators, and 12/24v electrical systems. Includes ability to perform and support DOT state inspections and includes welding experience.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a lead diesel mechanic with 3+ years maintaining and repairing diesel engines, heavy trucks, and pumping/oil field equipment. They have at least 1 year of lead or supervisor experience, are CDL-certified, can perform DOT state inspections, and bring hands-on welding experience along with strong safety leadership and ability to train others.
