About this role
Lead the customer order engineering mechanical work for safety valve products, covering design, documentation, and technical instructions for manufacturing. Collaborate with sales, site engineering, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer specifications and translate into manufacturing order instructions
- Provide bills of material, drawings, test specifications and processing instructions
- Create and review 3D CAD models and engineering drawings/specifications
- Perform stress analysis, engineering calculations, and material selection
- Drive design reviews, risk assessments, design verification, and innovation for valve design
Technical Overview
Design and document valve orders including CAD models, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material, and test documentation. Perform stress analysis, engineering calculations, and material selection, and support data-driven tooling using SolidWorks, SQL, Python, Power BI, Excel macros, SAP, and SharePoint.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a lead mechanical engineering professional with experience translating customer specifications into manufacturing-ready instructions for safety valve/control valve products. They have strong hands-on CAD, drawing, and documentation skills (including SolidWorks), plus capability in stress analysis, materials selection, and design reviews/risk assessments. They also use data/automation tools like SQL, Python, Excel macros, and Power BI for reporting and productivity improvements.
