About this role

Lead the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of Lighter’s SaaS technology platform. Serve as the go-to expert across the entire stack while collaborating as a leadership-minded individual contributor to execute the product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, test and maintain software that meets business objectives
Act as the go-to expert for the entire technology stack (front-end, APIs, back-end, server, network)
Address legal, security, and compliance issues (GDPR, CCPA)
Set and accomplish goals with minimal supervision while leading/collaborating with the engineering team
Execute on the technology roadmap for the SaaS platform

Technical Overview

Hands-on full stack engineering with JavaScript/ES6 and ReactJS, including Redux and Webpack, plus scaling web applications from APIs through UI and database operations. Build and deploy using Docker, implement CI/CD, and support performance and reliability via CDN and A/B testing, while addressing compliance requirements like GDPR and CCPA.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced lead/full stack engineer with 8+ years of professional software development experience, strong JavaScript/ES6 and ReactJS expertise, and hands-on experience designing, building, and scaling SaaS web applications end-to-end. They can lead collaboratively across an engineering team, act as the go-to expert for the full technology stack, and apply modern engineering practices like Agile, CI/CD, Docker, and performance optimization.
